The Director of Nursing has the responsibility for the administration of Nursing Department and the coordination of resident nursing care services. The Director of Nursing utilizes clinical and management expertise to develop implement and evaluate resident care for the facility. Ensures the quality of resident care provided. The position encompasses specific areas and facility wide administration management collaboration and education. May perform other duties as assigned.

Riverside Convalescent Center in West is a 60-bed long term care facility, nested located between Williamsburg and Richmond, Virginia. For many years, West Point citizens have looked to this Center when they needed nursing care for a loved one. With close proximity to Williamsburg, Richmond, and Gloucester, this Center features a beautiful decor, rehabilitation area, comprehensive nursing care, spacious dining room, beauty shop, and a screened porch with fountain. We have 12 private rooms and 24 semi-private rooms, providing care for skilled and long-term residents. Our combination of short and long term services, dedicated team of professionals, and homelike environment are unequaled in the West Point area.
Education: Graduate of a school of registered nursing. Master's degree in Nursing, Business, Health Administration, or related field or a BSN with 3-5 years progressive administrative experience preferred.
Experience: 3-5 years of progressive management experience in which has provided opportunities-develop skill in nursing practice and in the application of administrative principles. Previous experience in the management of multiple unit/services and experience with long term care preferred.
Licensure/Certifcation: Licensed or eligible by the State of Virginia as an RN.
