This individual will work across RHS entities to assure the highest quality of care and experience to our Oncology service line patients across RHS. Reports dually to the Service Line Administrator and Service Line Chief for Oncology Services with dotted line to Riverside Health System SVP of Quality. This role requires significant autonomy and works with limited supervision. This individual is responsible for developing and leading complex inter-departmental and multi-entity performance projects that address identified gaps in performance or aspirations for higher level of outcomes. Is responsible for leading the assessment and action planning of all relevant internal and external comparative data for quality, safety, and efficiency relative to assigned service line patient care and patient experience outcomes to support excellence in national Certifications, benchmarking, payor expectations and population health management.
Develops and maintains standard monthly and quarterly reports related to patient and service volume, migration, payer mix, quality and service performance.
Serves as a resource to operation and physician stakeholders regarding Oncology quality, safety and service.
Maintains regular communication with Service line leadership, key stakeholders across the continuum.
Participates as requested in preparing quality data for payer contracting review, MSSP, ACO etc.
Serves as a member of Service Line and/or Health System quality committees as requested representing Oncology Services and ensures data integrity, compliance with standards and policies.
Education: Bachelor's degree is required. A master's degree in a healthcare related field or MBA is preferred.
Experience: Background in a clinical position within healthcare as well as Lean Six Sigma green belt or black belt would be beneficial. Concentrated experience in oncology preferred. 2-3 years of quality management or performance improvement experience is required.
Licensure: Certification or licensure in a healthcare related field is preferred.
