  • Overview

    Works under the department Supervisor / Managers and Director. Effectively utilizes all department specific computer systems to accurately complete registration as required in department specific training. Responsible for registration of all patient types and must have a full understanding of the requirements of the RHS Charity program and self-pay processes in network / out of network authorizations vs. no authorizations Medical Necessity providing quotes calculating patient payments electronically posting patient payments; identifying issues and reporting trends. Employee will work daily reports and account work queues to ensure integrity of registration data. The Patient Access representative is responsible for the delivery of critical components of Revenue Cycle understanding regulatory compliance maintaining patient safety through correct patient identification practices and providing excellent customer service. Acts as a liaison between the Patient Access office and all other departments to include external vendors while providing consistent and detailed service. Must demonstrate strong problem solving skills high attention to detail and an aptitude for learning. Promotes teamwork and customer service by demonstrating positive interpersonal relations.

    Qualifications

    Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED required and 1+ years' experience in business office setting preferred or College Degree accepted in lieu of experience.

     

    Certification: CHAA certification preferred.
