Responsibilities

Reports to and serves as primary assistant to the Multi-Practice Manager in the coordination/management of patient care and the organizing planning directing and evaluating of services provided with a core focus on facility and associated departments. Provides leadership direction and mentorship/support to the staffing needs for Pulmonary, Sleep, Pulmonary Rehabilitation and Pulmonary Function Departments. As a Clinical Expert ensures the provision of clinically competent services by validating staff competency in the provision of a comprehensive range of services/care in accordance with standards of excellence age-specific and cultural sensitivity established by Riverside Health System and facility goals and strategic plans. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

- BSN preferred.

Experience:

- Progressive leadership experience which provided opportunities-develop skills in nursing practice if applies, and/or in application of administrative principles. Concentrated experience in assigned service desirable. Knowledge of regulations, policies, procedures, accreditation standards required. Knowledge of personnel administration, economics, legislation and economics.

Licensure/Certification:

- Licensed or eligible by the state of Virginia as an RN.

- BLS required.

- Specialty certification(s) preferred (for example CNOR, CCRN, PCCN, etc.).

- ACLS preferred.
