The Analyst I works under the Manager Home Health-Hospice Billing & Insurance Follow-up and is responsible for the timely submission of technically accurate billing for governmental and non-governmental payors including self-pay. The Analyst I manages an assigned portion of the accounts receivable provides follow up of all insurances identifies issues and reports trends. Acts as a liaison between the billing office and all front end locations and insurance companies. The Analyst reviews Commercial Medicare Advantage and Self Pay claims for accuracy; completes the claim work queue daily; performs claim follow-up; submits electronic adjustments; follows up on zero pay EOBs; and works the aging report. Responds and resolves patient inquiries/issues; resolves outstanding balances; and responds to insurance company requests for information. The Analyst may enter ancillary charges research and write appeals on denied accounts.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's or Master's Degree will count for 1 year of additional experience.
Experience: 2 years of Revenue Cycle or Customer Service experience and at least 1 year of Billing/Follow-up experience required. Knowledge of CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 preferred. Knowledge of EOBs.
