Works under the supervision of the Office Manager and the Physicians. The Vascular Technologist performs noninvasive vascular studies utilizing ultrasound techniques. The Vascular Technologist demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to assess data reflective of patient status and to assist in the interpretation of this information. The Vascular Technologist works effectively within the office to maintain an environment of excellence which is patient focused to provide timely compassionate quality patient care. The Vascular Technologist is responsible and accountable for competent noninvasive vascular ultrasound examinations. Also the Vascular Technologist is responsible for effectively communicating with staff to ensure patient quality care and is motivated with good interpersonal skills. The Technologist must comply with patient safety goals and HIPAA guidelines.

Education: Graduate from an ultrasound-training program or on the job training from a vascular laboratory, required
Experience: Six months of experience in vascular ultrasound preferred
Licensure/Certification: Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) - RVT or RVT, required. Specialized training degree or certificate from an AMA approved school in a related health field, such as Biological Sciences, Nursing, Radiology or other health science with knowledge of anatomy, physiology, physicals and diseases of the vascular system. Current CPR Certification Required.
Part Time hours will fall Mon-Fri 8a-4:30p- Williamsburg
