Certified Medical Assistant Job Summary: Works under the supervision of the physician, Office Manager, RN, and LPN. The medical assistant performs a wide range of clinical duties including assisting the physician in providing quality care in a medical office setting. The medical assistant must be able to demonstrate the knowledge required to provide age appropriate care for the patients served in the practice, and skills to interpret assessment in relation to principles of growth and development over the life span. In addition, the medical assistant must be knowledgeable of health insurance guidelines for pre-authorizations and referral processes, and be attentive to scheduling testing and specialist visits within network guidelines

Job Summary: This position must demonstrate by education and/or training a background in the assessment of children adolescents and adults seeking psychiatric and/or chemical dependency treatment. The Admission Coordinator conducts assessments on children adolescents and adults at RBHC and coordinates with Riverside Regional Medical Center regarding referrals for assessment and/or admission at RBHC. This position conducts pre-certification with third party payors is able to demonstrate empathy while assessing the client/family needs in a timely manner and compliance with legal issues and patient rights. This position must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served initiating age appropriate treatment and aftercare plans utilizing knowledge of community resources. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to identify each patients requirements relative to age-specific needs. Assists in the analysis design and administration of RHS compensation programs including base pay incentive pay and performance management. Prepares salary survey submissions on behalf of the organization to maintain competitive pay programs. Provides support in the areas of FLSA classifications and leave programs. Analyzes salary survey data and makes recommendations to pay structures based on data/trend analysis. Ensures pay structures are in compliance with policy and maintained accordingly in HRIS system.

The Associate Instructor works under the supervision of the Program Director and/or Assistant Director and will be assigned a mentor and/or preceptor to aid in faculty orientation. Participates in the development implementation and evaluation of the philosophy and objectives of their program. Participates in the design implementation teaching evaluation and revision of the programs curriculum and related educational materials as assigned. Assists in the development and evaluation of student admission progression retention graduation and related program and school policies. Accountable for student outcomes acts as a resource for students providing support remediation academic advisement and counseling and referral as needed. Actively engages in scholarly pursuits to maintain currency in the base discipline and to enhance metaprofessional skills. Each member of the faculty shall maintain professional competence in their specific discipline through such activities as practice continuing education programs conferences workshops seminars academic courses research projects and professional writing. Participates in community and institutional service activities which contribute to the mission of RHS and RCHC. Actively engages in the development of instruction skills by completing the Faculty Development Program. Completion of the FDP and satisfactory performance during the first year of employment as an Associate Instructor will lead to promotion to the position of Faculty Instructor. Clinically sophisticated, yet intimate and comfortable, The Gardens at Warwick Forest was one of the first centers in the area to provide Medicare skilled services. Located in Newport News, the 209-bed facility provides Nursing Long-Term Skilled Care, Memory Support, and Rehabilitation Care. Accommodations throughout the Center include tastefully furnished private and semi-private rooms, courtyards, lounges, dining areas, and a beauty shop. The Gardens is on the same beautiful campus as our Warwick Forest retirement community and offers a very safe and close-knit feel.
