The Analyst I coordinates with facility BOL and MDS to ensure all Commercial, Medicare Advantage, Medicare and Self Pay claims are reviewed for accuracy prior to submission; researches and write appeals to insurance companies on denied accounts; and resubmits any applicable insurance claims within 24 hours of receipt. The Analyst I follows-up on all claims to ensure timely receipt of payments; resolves outstanding account balances; works with provided aging reports and follows up appropriately; and performs EOM census and revenue reconciliation. Additionally the Analyst resolves patient inquiries and complaints; manages ADR or medical requests; reviews for census and payer changes; responds to insurance company requests for information as well as processes patient and insurance correspondence within 48 hours of receipt. The Analyst function as liaisons for the department, perform EOM closings and create monthly statements. May assist with entering ancillary charges, as well as, entering interest in Resident Trust accounts and sending out quarterly statements, revenue proofs and general ledger account reconciliations. Participates in annual audits.
