The RTH Materials Management Tech/Courier position provides materials management support for key Supply Chain activities and initiatives with split duties between the courier department and distribution. Break down stock into unit of issue and place items in proper storage area/par closet in a FIFO method. Extract critical reports and replenish all PARs with needed supplies from PAR Excellence Computer. Count and replenish PARs using handheld computer. Utilize the Lawson Materials Management Information System to key extract information and print documents. Conduct periodic cycle counts with assistance from other Materials Management staff. Record stock out/low level product situations as designated within storeroom. Pick and fill over the counter and departmental requisitions accurately. Fully cross train in all areas of the distribution process for the OR Storeroom and Central distribution. Drive a company vehicle on pre-described daily routes to specific Riverside facilities or other facilities as directed by dept. supervisor. Be responsible for daily weekly and monthly routine vehicle maintenance and notify the supervisor of any necessary unscheduled maintenance. Procure any maintenance documentation and receipts and ensure they are maintained in the fleet maintenance record. Provide fill-in back up duties for other couriers as requested. Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Virginia is currently seeking a labor pool (as needed) Medical Lab Tech (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT/MLS.)   The MT or MLT works under the direction of the supervisor/manager in the area of responsibility and/or Director of the Laboratory. Performs technical procedures in such areas as Hematology Chemistry Serology Blood Bank Point of Care Testing Urinalysis and Microbiology according to established Protocols and standard operating procedures. The MT or MLT is required to follow all quality control and quality assurance guidelines established in the department to include accurate performance review and documentation. Perform routine maintenance of departmental equipment and procedures to include inventory control preventive maintenance and troubleshooting. The position participates in all aspects of Proficiency testing and in maintaining a constant state of readiness in the department to meet all Standards for accreditation from College of American Pathologist (CAP) DNV State OSHA AABB CLIA etc. The MT or MLT assists in the training of new and existing personnel as well as students. The MLT adheres to hospital and departmental policies and procedures; maintains a professional demeanor and exhibits a positive attitude. May perform specimen collection specimen processing and phlebotomy as applicable. May perform other duties as assigned.   Riverside began serving the Virginia Peninsula community in 1916. In 1963, Riverside moved to the present 72-acre location in Newport News on J. Clyde Morris Boulevard. A 450-bed facility, Riverside Regional Medical Center is the Virginia Peninsulas most comprehensive medical facility combining the most recent computerized medical technology with a healing environment. The Pavilion is a 250,000 sq. ft., $107 million, 3-story addition to Riverside Regional Medical Center, which opened in 2013.
