Works under the supervision of Nurse Manager in personal care comfort measures and environmental services of the patients (including those needing special precautions) and performs specified treatments. In addition this position must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and provide the care needed as described according to the departmental policy and procedure. Promotes and maintains safe work environment for staff as well as our customers incorporating national patient safety initiatives. Must have reliable transportation to perform assigned home care visits. If using a personal vehicle for as means of transportation must have and maintain: a current valid driver's license with proof of satisfactory driving record / history; proof of auto liability coverage as required by Virginia State law. The Personal Care Aide may be required to work weekends and holidays as needed. Will perform other duties as assigned. The Licensed Practical Nurse works under the supervision of the Care Manager to assist the Physicians/Registered Nurses in the care of clients in their homes by provision of comprehensive skilled nursing services directed toward maximum rehabilitation to achieve the established goals and objectives identified. He/She will keep fully cognizant of Medicare/Medicaid/Commercial insurance requirements Agency Policies and Procedures. In addition this position must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the client served by his/her team. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span. He/she must possess the ability to assess data reflective of the client's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each client's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs. He/She must be able to provide the care needed as describe in the departmental policy and procedure guides. The LPN may be required to work every other weekend depending upon client census. Supplements the nursing care needs of the client as provided by the Registered Nurse. Works under the direction of the senior lead therapist and the Director of Radiation Oncology Services. Functioning as a team member the radiation therapist applies ionizing radiation in accordance with the prescription and instructions from the radiation oncologist. Demonstrates excellent knowledge of the concepts of radiation therapy. Collaborates with the physics staff for patient set-up and planning. Performs QA on the treatment and imaging equipment as required. Maintains radiation therapy certification through ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologies) Complies with National Patient Safety Goals HIPPA guidelines and Corporate Compliance polices. Participates in quality and customer service programs and meets all CBL CME requirements. This employee must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient serviced by his or her assigned department. Provides support to Cancer Services and to the EWL and BHAP grants by assisting in clerical duties handling patient calls in the absence of team members and offering support to callers in need. Directly responsible for handling billing issues both within RHS and among provider partners with little or no direction from the supervisor. Responsible for assisting in financial reports for EWL/BHAP grants and for other report requests made by the supervisor. Reports directly to the Cancer Education and Outreach Nurse. Riverside began serving the Virginia Peninsula community in 1916. In 1963, Riverside moved to the present 72-acre location in Newport News on J. Clyde Morris Boulevard. A 450-bed facility, Riverside Regional Medical Center is the Virginia Peninsulas most comprehensive medical facility combining the most recent computerized medical technology with a healing environment. The Pavilion is a 250,000 sq. ft., $107 million, 3-story addition to Riverside Regional Medical Center, which opened in 2013. This acute care facility provides a regional cancer care center, the Peninsula regions only comprehensive stroke center, the areas only open-heart surgery program, the regions only Level II Trauma Center, and a cornerstone neurosciences program that includes the Chesapeake, Riverside and University of Virginia Radiosurgery Center.
