Part Time and Labor Pool Available!        Works under the supervision of the Director of Nursing and/or Nurse Managers and assumes responsibility for the smooth and effective operation of the hospital in the absence of the Administrator and/or Director of Nursing. Assists team members in the interpretation and application of facility policy. Coordinates the provision of appropriate staffing levels and resources for quality patient care. Makes rounds throughout the facility to assess facility operations and respond effectively to situations that arise. This position must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served within Facility. The Nursing Supervisor may work in a variety of settings and roles within Riverside Health System. May perform in RN role by assessment planning implementing and evaluating the total nursing care of assigned patients. The Nursing Supervisor utilizes communication critical thinking problem solving and decision making to oversee patient care throughout facility based on physiological psychosocial and cultural diversity. Responsible for supervising and delegating non-professional personnel working directly with him/her to ensure optimum patient care. Works collaboratively with the leadership team to provide a comprehensive range of services for clinical care associated with and in accordance with standards of excellence established by Riverside Health system and facility goals and strategic plans. Shore Memorial Hospital is located in Onancock, Virginia on the beautiful Eastern Shore! Onancock is a rural area with beaches and wildlife to include the 9,000 acre Chincoteague wildlife refuge. This brand new, state of the art facility is a 52-bed hospital with private rooms, a Surgical Suite with three operating rooms, a ten bed Intensive Care Unit, and an advanced Emergency Department with all private treatment rooms. The hospital has expanded the outpatient services to include a diagnostic center with advanced imaging services including MRI and CT scanner, on-campus Cancer Care Center and a freestanding medical office building housing our specialty physician offices. The Virginia Delmarva Peninsula is nestled between the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Ocean and offers that rare treasure - peace. Northampton County has the distinction of being one of the earliest settlements in our nation's history and this rural County retains its pastoral beauty and leisurely pace to this day. The Pavilion is a 250,000 sq. ft., $107 million, 3-story addition to Riverside Regional Medical Center, which opened in 2013. Works with supervision of the Optical Manager and Practice Director. Designs fits and adapts lenses and frames for patients according to written optical prescription or specifications. Assists patients with selecting frames. Measures patients for size of eyeglasses and coordinates frames with facial and eye measurements and optical prescription. Prepares lab orders containing instructions for grinding and mounting lenses in frames. Verifies exactness of finished lens spectacles. Adjust frame and lens positions to fit patients. Performs administrative duties such as tracking inventory submitting patient insurance claims and performs simple bookkeeping. Arranges and maintains displays of optical merchandise.
